Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme: Australian Government ‘Green Paper’
The Minister for Climate Change and Water, Senator Penny Wong, released the Australian Government’s Green Paper on a Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme on Wednesday 16 July. The proposals covered in the Green Paper, which include a model for emissions trading, have been released for community and stakeholder comment, with a deadline for submissions of 10 September.
A key aspect of the Green Paper is a proposal for assisting Emissions-Intensive Trade-Exposed (EITE) industries.
