Tree to 30m. Widespread on lower slopes and rises usually in grassy woodlands. Flowers in spring and summer. Hollows provide nest sites and refuge for a range of native birds and mammals such as possums, gliders and bats. Nectar rich flowers, seeds and fruit provide food for birds, mammals and insects. An example of one of the species of native trees and shrubs planted by staff from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Café Brindabella. Image courtesy of Greening Australia.
