Grant round

The Australia-India Council grant round has now closed

The next funding round is expected to be announced in June 2012 for projects to be undertaken up until July 2013.

The Australia-India Council (AIC) welcomes funding applications from individuals and organisations in Australia for projects which are likely to promote long-term contact and cooperation between Australia and India. AIC grants are intended to provide seed funds for innovative proposals relevant to the mission and goals of the Council.

The Council gives priority to projects in the following areas:

  • The Arts (including literature and film)
  • Education
  • Social initiatives (including public health and sport)
  • Science/Technology/Environment
  • Public Policy Activities (including media links)

What's New

Australia India Youth Dialogue

The inaugural Australia India Youth Dialogue (AYID) will be hosted in January 2012  (27th - 30th are tentative dates), in Delhi and Mumbai.  More information about the 2012 AIYD, including the venues, speakers and participants can be found at the AIYD website

Fifteen participants from each country will take part in helping take the Australia India relationship to new heights. The Australia India Youth Dialogue is proudly supported by the Australia-India Council
